One message is enough. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it’s done.

How to ask

  1. Send a direct message to @science_in_8bit on Instagram, or an email to sciencein8bit@gmail.com.
  2. Include your Instagram username and the words “delete my data”.
  3. We delete your data within 30 days and confirm by replying to you.

What gets deleted

Everything we hold about you. That includes the entries our Instagram comment tool logged when it answered you (your username, the comment’s ID and the time), and any emails or messages you sent us. These logs are deleted automatically after 90 days anyway; a request removes them sooner.

What we can’t delete for you

Your comments and messages on Instagram itself belong to your Instagram account. You can delete your own comments there at any time, and Instagram’s own settings cover the rest of your Instagram data.

If you bought the guide, we keep the order record for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, and delete the rest.
